While we're at it. I shorted YHOO too, and my losses in a week were high enough to really cut into my ZITL profit (ZITL shorted at $15 5/8, recently covered). It's important to jump out fast sometimes, I have learned that much. Also, dogs are much better shorts than 'high flyers'. Dogs can really reward you sometimes by going out of business or gapping down severely. High flyers can on the contrary gap up or surge up with annoying frequency.

I would short AENG now, still haven't asked my broker though if I can short it.

I have finally given up on the idea of AOL as a short even though I will still marvel at how bad I think AOL is.
