They also let Canadian spelling slip in at times...

I talked to a MM and he said BB's are being shorted by MM's, brokers, and Kanooks..

Blitz,

I do agree on one point. I can at least respect an open short that wants to discuss the validity of his position. We had them on TAVA and they were given a great deal of respect.

"Or... maybe they are shorts, and are professionals at making a stock tank by posting LIES and twisting facts!! Naaaaah, couldn't be."

Actually, that's probably correct. A basic tenet of shorting is that you have to be able to borrow the shares. Normally, even for a "professional" investor, it's nearly impossible to borrow shares of a BB stock to short them. Usually you can only do this if your broker is willing to lend either shares in which they make a market, or, if they don't, effectively the shares of another client. Stocks that trade less than maybe around ten million dollars' value a day are nearly impossible for anyone to short. Often, with BB stocks, the only ones shorting are bucket shop brokers that are shorting their clients' shares for their own accounts.

In "short," it's much easier for bulls on a stock to claim a shorting conspiracy than it is for someone to actually short.
