Got this from my broker on-line, can't find it anywhere for free so no link. Most of story is about MSFT and it's effect on software, but there is one sentence of interest... Don't know if this stuff has been posted here yet. Overall software sales declined by 2 percent in May compared to May 1997 and hardware sales declined by 8.3 percent as system vendors shifted product offerings and software companies prepared for Windows 98 launch-related promotions.
