JDN, in any earnings model, don't forget that TAVA has $3,674,000 worth of capitalized software costs that will soon have to be subtracted from sales.

It is also interesting to note that management states in their most recent 10Q:

Net income was lower during the current quarter compared to the income of the
corresponding quarter of the preceding year primarily because of the product
development and roll-out costs associated with the Company's Y2KOne-TM-
product and services.

Yet they state that they have capitalized $2,148,000 worth of development costs for Y2KOne software. They can't have it both ways.

Does it at all concern you that TAVA had negative cash flow from operations of $7,949,000 for the nine months ended Mar 31, 1998?

JDN:

Good point about all those pilots that turn into actual remediation work... I think investors are beginning to understand the mathematics as evidenced by the rising intraday price highs and lows... The 200, 144, and 89 day Moving Averages are rising... TAVA is now above its 13 day Moving Average... It's nice when the Fundamentals and Technicals are in sync... This usually leads to good price appreciation...

Just received a response from Scott Liolios, TAVA Investor Relations, regarding my question on whether monthly booking announcements will continue. Someone posted earlier that it did not appear there would be a June bookings announcement by TAVA. That would be a correct statement. I do like the last sentence of Scotts response very much :-)
================================================================
Hello Joe,

In regards to announced booking for the month of May: The reason we announced May
bookings is because on the conference call we stated that we expected to book
approx. $8 million in booking s over the next 30 days. So many were curious if we
actually booked the contracts. We actually booked $12.5. We are not going to
announce our bookings every month. That announcement was only in response to
comments we made on the CC. However, management sees no reason why that level of bookings will not continue or even increase.

Thanks for your interest

Scott Liolios

'a greater threat exists: embedded chips. ...'

'The Year 2000 problem may or may not affect the software on personal computers in homes and businesses, but even if it does, a greater threat exists: embedded chips. Bruce F. Webster, the chairman of the Washington, D.C., Year 2000 Group, said such computer chips are central to the function of non-computer products -- everything from watches, cell phones and refrigerators to offshore oil platforms

"There are billions of these in the world," Webster said, "and at least 1% have Y2K problems. Well, 1% of two billion is 20 million," which means there are a lot of computer bugs to find in a very short time.
