I appreciate that point of view, but he can't afford to fumble when so many people are looking very closly and skeptically at this deal being successfully implemented. AT&T's chairman was very prepared, and the difference accentuated Malone's performance.

You said - "I wouldn't take such a harsh view of Malone's performance on Nightline, as he and Armstrong had already done 17+ interviews yesterday, and had been up already 18+ hours. I'd like to see a person of half Malone's age carry the torch for that long and still stay crisp."
