Thread,

Portico mentioned in Fortune Magazine's new Technology Buyer's Guide, just issued:

"Portico from General Magic is a "second-generation virtual assistant" to be controlled either by telephone with voice commands or via the World Wide Web. Portico will keep track of phone calls, all kinds of messages, contacts, and appointments. It works with the Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigaor and runs on virtually any computer device, including Windows CE and Palm devices. Telephone users can enter data and get access to it from a computerized voice. The service is due to begin this summer, with exact pricing yet to be announced."

Fortune quotes $20 to $50 a month. Datarover 840 also mentioned.
