Do you have any proof that BEAM management has (1) lied constantly, (2) sold Reg S shares overseas or (3) skipped with a lot of cash and a boat? If not, then aren't you on the wrong thread?

Got Proof???

Ronald:

Nobody likes sleezy Mgmt... But before you imply publicly that a company is doing something illegal... You should ask yourself if you can prove it in a court of law if asked to defend yourself... Many companies read these threads and will take legal action against those persons creating false rumors and accusing Mgmt of illegal acts...

Free speech is unlimited where the truth is involved... Libel and slander without proof is an illegal act in itself... Something to keep in mind when posting...

Jim

Dickman:

Dont compare the management of 2+ years ago with the sharp management team currently in place at Summit.

It's interesting to note the following: yatiyatiyati May 18 1998 9:44AM EDT

Robert Palmisano (Director and CEO) joined Summit in April 1997 and was previously employed with BAUSCH and LOMB.

Eric Ankerud (Vice President, Quality Regulatory and Clincial Affairs) joined the company in July 1997 and previously was employed with BAUSCH and LOMB as Director of Corporate Regulatory Affairs for BAUSCH and LOMB.

Most of Summit's legal staff were all previously employed with Goldstein and Manello, P.C.. I wonder who BAUSCH and LOMB's legal counsel is?

Does anyone know if BAUSCH and LOMB operates a division that deals in laser vision correction? If not, maybe they're in search of some diversification.

Anyway, I find its interesting that the Director and CEO is from BAUSCH and LOMB and that the Vice Presiident of Quality, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs is also from BAUSCH and LOMB.

For all of the above reasons, this team may help BEAM in the following areas:

1. Litigation outcomes favorable to Summit.
2. Speedier FDA approval for ongoing or new indications.
3. Coordination in the acquisition of a new company or even in the the sale of Summit.

If you review the 1998 Proxy Statement dated May 28, 1998, Summit now appears to be managed by individuals with impressive credentials.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No comparison between Summit and those 2 funky companies you mentioned and I care not to mention again.

Also, Louis Cristiano your post (flag) was very logical and educational and I believe the flag pole is beginning to be raised for BEAM.
