My guess is that some people just weren't patient enough. And I happen to agree with the "such good news happening" part...;-) To me, the potential revenue from the stripper wells is impressive and I look forward to more info as the testing proceeds. If the $5.00 + reduction in operating costs, or other significant figure close to it, is shown to be achieved - as well as reduce production costs - then I believe considerable revenue could be realized as stated in the release. As six such systems have already been installed, I would venture to guess that they are working well enough to interest the new partner, Pamco. I'm also glad to see this pump will be tested in wells of varying depth, as that will indicate the broadness of potential use.As reported by Resource Analyst Jay Taylor, "assuming this technology is used on just 9,000 Stripper wells in the U.S., management believes its 50% interest in this technology could bring pretax earnings to Nevtah ranging from $14 million to $79 million per year." Also very pleased to see this -Another 18 wells will be installed over the next 30 days, which will complete phase 1 of the testing program. Phase 2 will include the installation of the system in an additional 100 wells. At that point, the company will actively seek additional leases in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas for its own use as well as start a marketing program to sell the technology to other stripper well operators in non-competitive areas. This will include sales to other countries through exclusive distributors. as that indicates to me the thoroughness with which this pump is to be tested. So, IMHO, it's the start of good things happening - the stripper wells along with future progress/news on the natural gas drilling at Matagorda Island.
