Dale,

REM writes some great lyrics don't they,

Yes they do. Actually another good group that you might like if you like "interesting" lyrics is a group called the Tragically Hip. They are very much like REM in terms of lyrics (they are canadian). They have some profound lyrics of their own ;-)

"Andy now tell us, are you losing touch or are you just having fun"

At this point I'm starting to wonder if the line may have some relevance to Intel. ;-)

I think that's why Andy handed over to Craig. I don't think Andy wanted to be around during the commoditization (is there such a word) of the x86 CPU (and CPU in general) industry. Perhaps the person who has the most vision when it comes to the future of computing is Steve Jobs. Maybe we should e-mail him and ask him what he thinks will happen to the CPU sector.

As far as I am concerned Jobs is a god. I would love to see MSFT run with Job's creativity and Bill's business smarts. They would have been an UNSTOPABLE duo ;-) (not that Bill has done too badly on his own).
