**offtopic** I did not address the motivations or actions of
particular individuals, but the question of whether or not one need
be invested in a stock to validate one's participation on
a board. If there is a feeling that a certain person or persons has
an agenda, be it hype of either a negative or positive bent, that can
be dealt with without the owning of shares being addressed as a
qualification for entry to discussion.
As it happens, I have researched domestic drilling companies. I've not looked into any producers but would be interested in so doing. My initial reaction would to be to not invest in MTEI. However,it is worth tracking to see how the business plan unfolds, while at the same time doing research. Part of that research would be to follow this board. In that context, I might well have questions (though I seldom post on any serious board), as well as
uncovering information which might be worthwhile to share. But the
continued questioning of peoples holdings as an entry key makes it
seem rather an unwelcome proposition. The best boards I have followed are those where long and shorts discussed merits of the
company, where longs with different opinions on the status of the
company hashed it out, and where new investors explored and questioned.
My impression is that one would only be welcome here if ready
to join "the club". Hopefully I am mistaken in that impression, or
it is a temporary blip brought on by the melee of the past weeks that
shall pass in due course.
