These are all very good questions....and ones that cannot be answered because there are too many parameters that would have to be identified , ones that we are not privy to at this time.

From what I understand, they are looking for additional reserves, or new reserves behind pipe. If there a virgin pressures, then the well could possibly flow for awhile. If not, a pumping unit would be installed. Used pumping unit would cost approximately 10k to 25k, depending on condition. The wells could possibly have existing pumping units already on them. A one run log will cost approximately 8k to 12k per well. Secondary recovry could possibly use steam injection or gas injection. But, I do not believe they are looking for secondary recovery types of fields. I expec they are looking for overlooked reserves behind pipe.

Regards,

bob

Jhild I forgot to answer one of your questions. The company I work for just drilled and completed a well in Wyoming for approximately 650k. 7700' frontier well. We are also going to re-enter an old Muddy well, the Muddy being deeper than the Frontier, and re-complete the well in the Frontier. Cost approximately 70k. As you can see that is quite a savings.
