Stitch,

Thanks for the great read from Galbraith. I disagree with him on Reagan's defense buildup -- it will become obvious over time that it was absolutely necessary, and that, despite all the residual problems arising from the collapse of the Iron Curtain, the continuation of the Soviet Union would be worse, and the Reagan buildup was directly responsible for the collapse of the Soviet State.
