I agree about the gold mine. TCI has 10 times the customers but is valued at 100 times Dish. Dish is growing much faster than TCI. It won't take very long for the valuation gap to narrow. The low float should make for some quick movements up. I don't see Charlie selling one share!

Sorry to pop the bubble again, but it is a fact that cable has a bigger pipe than high power DBS. The pipe will have high speed modem access, cable TV (HDTV), interactive video on demand, home shopping, fax and telephone all in one. DISH can't handle that. DBS pipe is going to get full quick and HDTV signal will clog the pipe further. That is more true for Echostar than Direct TV. Charlie's hair brain idea to deliver local via expensive satellites and second dishes will fall flat with HDTV. Nobody thinks Satellite has the advantage over cable, except where cable doesn't exist (rural areas).
