That cracked me up. Happens to me all the time. A word loses all meaning.
I already told this story I think on Feelings, but in case you missed it. When CW was in Health in the 5th grade, the male teacher made them all say "penis" over and over until it stopped being funny to them. Lost its power. Hmm. That means obscenities are only shocking because we've given them the power to be. And it's not the word but the intent behind the word or gesture. Well, it never has made much sense that the nastiest word we can use is also a synonym for the most beautiful act between two people.
Logic just isn't our strong suit.
