My thanks to Robert and even (gulp) jhild for bringing this thread back to the topic of oil recovery methods.

Heck, I'm in another play right now where the company has tied up the rights to a huge field. There are currently 9 wells pumping about 500 BOPD each. First thing the company is going to do is replace the old pumps, grease up a few parts <g> and they're probably going to be able to double production - all for a nominal cost.
