Selling on news. Plus no one believes that OPEC will actually control the amount of oil production.

I've heard that day traders like to buy during times leading up to OPEC meetings, then sell on the news. Apparently, nobody has much confidence in OPEC keeping their commitments.

Jefferies excercising their muscle today, hit em' while their down. downgrading shallow water service stocks. Although with TMAR 85% is deepwater, some other analyst downgraded Tidewater mentioning the gulf. TMAR still informed me that utilization ratios are unchanged, and, in fact, will increase with the next quarter as three boats that were in drydock will not be ready for service. on the positive side, Saudi Arabia announced this morning new measures to limit the amount of oil in the market.

so here we have a company with increasing earnings (according to TMAR) and a market with increasing impatience.
