Hi Patrick,..Re:<< Why futz with the options when you can trade the big picture?>>

Just chicken is the best way to describe it although now that I've been doing this full time, and JC has on-line order entry, might just try actual bonds. After all, like you said, you can always get out and if you don't want to get out, you can buy an option to cover. I don't remember seeing bonds limit down but twice in the last four years but I think the Spoos have done it more.

When I first started in '94 I believed all the stories about having to take delivery of all those 1000 barrels of crude or 5000 bushels of beans or hogs.<VBG> That's why I decided to stick to options.

Regards,

Lee

>>I guess my point is, I would rather know I have to %^&* or get off the pot than to be lured into a false sense of security thinking that my options still have a chance in hell of making me money.<<

Precisely what Fred should have done with his LOOSING short postitions.....hoping for that next earnings warning is not going to make you money!!!!

BTW...Rydex's have been moved to the bullish side of the hill for now as I expect a test ot 1150 on the SPX.
