Little more:

Markman did say that the resellers were local, regional and
national and even some would be in the malls (chuckle).
Actually someone asked him directly if they would be in the
malls. He also said that the resellers were retail and
corporate, so clearly some would be targeting businesses
as well.

They were very happy and proud about the 35 million in equity
investments. They said they already had enough money for
their business plan for 98, but that the 35 million
would allow them to deliver their vision.

Markman spent some time on the Portico name, stating that
using the service put one in a relationship with the personality
and It was important to not name the service with a simple
name. Portico also invoked the concept of a porch before or
gateway and that this was important concept for the service.
A gateway to information. People were losing money not
getting the info they needed and this service would get it
to them and allow them to deal with it using the contact
database, calendar, fax, email, voice mail,... He said you
enter it once and make all your calls from it. He said this
came in handy while in Japan recently. He could call into
Portico and then call others through his contact database.

Someone sort of asked if they were shopping the company
around and Markman said that they were not at this time,
but of course anything can happen in the future. He said
the potential was just too great to sell!

OUCH!!!... A strong sell-off after a double top does not bode well (i.e.: all the extra shares?). Any thoughts?
