PS- how do I get italics in my posts.

Type to start them, to end.

(If you want to SHOW the < or > as I have here, then you have to type < to represent the "<", etc., and & for an ampersand. Mind boggling, isn't it! Also, user your browser's View Source function to see how any web page is built, including everyone's profiles.)

Brian, IMO, all registered representatives have a DUTY to act in the customer's best interests. As AGENCY he is a go-between, charges you a fee (commission) and seeks out the stock you want to buy.
.
As PRINCIPLE he will sell you HIS OWN stock, probably stock that he bought cheaper than the price you're paying him. As PRINCIPLE it might be inappropriate to charge a sales commission, but not always.
.
i.e. if the ASK is $34 the Principle will sell it to you for $34, but the Agent will buy it from someone else and have to tack on a commission.
.
Now with today's $25 and $8 commissions, and recent MARK-UP activity when acting as Principle, this can all go flip-flop.
.
Things are changing with NASDAQ and OTC investing, and I'm still playing "catch-up" to the new rules (g).
.
ITALICS? LIKE THIS!!!
