>>>I've been going through my own private Windows H-- I mean, integrity and uniformity experience this week, trying to get either Win95 or WinNT to boot off a SCSI disk. <<<

I'm feeling pretty good about running out and buying a couple of the last sr2b oem boxes at the local clone maker. Didn't want to do the win98 dance, quite yet.

I recommend a Gigabyte Technology motherboard transplant - you can get a cheap fast dual p2 board with UIDE and Adaptec SCSI (all modes) built in. The bios has RAID features and the SCSI boot thing is therefor built into the motherboard. AGP, UDC, ETC. Maybe a model like the GA 686 DLX, which I got for 3 hundred-something. Also the MB is noticeably faster than other 333 units I use. Also, I got the SCSI zip drive, which is seemingly 10x faster than the parallel or IDE models, at least with this board.

Of course, you will need to do all this yourself. You might have to somehow get the latest sr2.5b oem to make it all work.

Cheers,
Chaz
