Franz--
If I may respond to your ?'s:
1. Its all rumor--but AMZN has the ability to split up to 6-to-1.
2. Whatever the price is on the day AMZN declares the split effective. Typically, they would announce a split then about 2-3 weeks later it would happen.
3. Clearly, the stock would go higher. If they split 3-for-1, shares today would be what--$33? Stock would look cheap once again--clearly would go up--maybe to $50. Who knows. I and I think others would favor a 3-for-1 over a 2-for-1 though.
Thoughts--AMZN is a dangerous game. Dont play with money you cant spare to lose--especially if you have just added it to your ticker in the past week! Float is small--price moves quickly. Wouldnt surprise me to see it hit $90 AND $120 over the next 4 weeks. As for calls for $60--I dont see it. AMZN is one of the top 5 internet properties/franchises i see--kind of like the Park Place in the 'net version of Monopoly. its not just about books--its about being first and being the strongest--its very hot property along with YHOO and AOL for sure. That is why its worth $5 billion.

>HELP PLEASE!!!

>1. What about the rumors of a 3-1 stock split in the near future???

This is the first time I heard this. If it does split, 2/1 in more likely, and it is unlikly it would split until the end of summer.

>2. At what price would it split?

Up to management.

>3. Where is it going after the split/news of it?

As unlikely as is sounds, stocks have fallen even after a split. Look at IOM and CPQ.
