I really don't see THQ doing a 3-1 stock split in the 30's. THQ does not want the stock in the low double digits or below. If I were a betting man, I would guess that if THQ gets past $40 with some staying power or momentum....than we could see a 2 for 1.

The shorts are now our very good friends. In fact, we will come to like them much better in the coming months...when it becomes evident that the cover charge for staying in THQ will be going up dramatically...The party is just starting. (g)

Sigmund, a bit more FA that could help us move up if this market is efficient. Devil's Dice just hit #1 in Japan in its first week of release. The game could be a sensation over here too.

Here's some more good anecdotal FA, cribbed from AOL:

<<Electronics Boutique, Palm Beach Gardens Mall, Florida

Happened to be at the Mall today at 3:00. Visited the Electronics Boutique. Business was slow; just me and the asst Mgr. He was no match <G>. Got the exact sales numbers - 90 Quest sold since inception. I was impressed. Sales are sure building nicely.

I also asked how the WCW games are selling and he said they were still selling very well (sorry, didn't have the presence of mind to get any figures). I don't want to get too optimistic too soon, but it sure seems like we're having a nice quarter. Anybody revising their sales estimates yet?>>

I agree with Wildman that 3-1 is too much. However, I think I want a split as much as anybody, say 2-1. The majority of THQ's rise this year is destined to be post-split. I think it is hard to get above $40 psychologically--too much history of small videogame co's crashing and burning. We need to "start over" at $16 or so, which should lead to a quick jump over $20. Then the results can carry us to $30+, like they did over the past six months. (Unless Wedbush downgrades us again at $20, saying we had hit the price target. gggg)

If we could get some good news that can propel us into the thirties posthaste (ie, press release that Quest has sold 250,000 copies in two weeks, Bear Stearns initiates with a Buy rating, etc.) then maybe we can get a split before earnings come out. Ah, who knows.
