Jeff - Re: " Just look at cable TV fee history."

As for A T & T, we must all remember the excellent job they did with NCR after they bought them for about 9 or 10 billion dollars in 1990 or thereabouts.

A T & T took a thriving NCR and choked it to death, then spun it back out 7 years later - a mere shadow of its former self.

A T & T understands telephones and long distance.

Period.

>>>Great news for cable customers of TCI - maybe. It all depends on what AT&T eventually charges for service. Us Intel fans are spoiled by a company with the mindset of continuously falling prices. AT&T has no such culture. They are born of the regulated utility. <<<

Yes, it's been an ongoing gift that Intel has given the world.

>>>I'm just afraid its going to be expensive at the outset and only get more expensive as time passes. Just look at cable TV fee history.<<<

Yes ,this is exactly what scares me about Intel's position going into the year 2000. The fee for content will constantly go up, but the
price for hardware will continue to come down. I'll try to write more detail when I get a chance. It has to do with the consumer product
graph that I alluded to a while back...
