A MSFDC press release:

biz.yahoo.com

This the exact same article that was released on June 15th. I guess this is what you call a re-announcement.

>>>"Netscape Preps Internet Billing Charge "

I guess the question is, "who isn't doing bill presentment?" I have a feeling that Citi is helping push Netscape into this area, going by the last Citi/Netscape agreement. Citi knows they need a bill presentment pipeline, and may try to use Netscape to accomplish this. IMO Netscape has a lot of problems, this will add to them.

Carmeli provided few additional details, but sources at the company said work is underway to deliver applications--possibly running on top or leveraging PublisherXpert functionality--that will allow billers to present invoices to customers and receive payment without going through an Internet consolidator. In addition, Netscape is exploring whether it should partner with an existing bill consolidation company to provide services when its customers desire them.

My guess...as stated earlier, it won't be MSFDC....and they will do it to increase and promote acceptance of the service to consumers & billers. What is that a confirmed rumor?
