Try this one on for size.

Imagine you're a car jockey at a lot where all the cars are identical. You "borrow" one for a joy ride, while you're out the owner asks for his car. The manager borrows another one to give to him. Later that owner calls for his, the manager borrows another one. Finally, you return with the original car or the manager goes out and buys a replacement for you. At the end, everything is back to normal.
