>>What I don't understand, is if they have time to re-release their press releases, why don't they have time to update their web-site:

My take, FWIW, old news is better than no news/bad news. Would you want to tell your potential customers that we haven't made any real progress, and might just end up 86ing the whole venture?

Excuse the attitude, I'm just in a bullish mood after a good nights rest. CKFR will go up or down today, but in the next few months, I know(as some one else privately said to me) it ain't gonna' be lower.

Benny the source on the first copy of the press release was MSFDC, and the source today was MSFT.

What I've noticed about a lot of Excite Press is that it also mentions that they have strategic alliances with; and one of them is Intuit(INTU)...and therefore Excite Press usually shows up under the INTU symbol also. They are going for maximum exposure of their news events before investors, since Intuit has it's own investor followers. It's a pretty good way of gaining additional investor interest in your company.

I have often have wondered why CheckFree does not leverage their events in this way. ie...a lot of people are watching Intuit.

Why not? MicroSoft is doubling it's press to promote it's new venture, common sense? To paraphrase Brooks...preception becomes reality, and we need better press coverage..leverage it.

And along those same lines....this recent Press coverage of Just In Time Solutions could also self correct....IF they would just list their partners, Intuit(INTU)...&...CheckFree(CKFR)...in their press thus leveraging their press to a broader following.

Just seems basic to me...but then I'm from Michigan...and that solution might be too simple.
