Thanks Gabriel a very nice analysis indeed.Since 50% of the total PC sales is to occur in Q4 any slack in sales in Q2 and Q3 should be augmented by the ad campaign.I heard Dell will maintain the ASP close to the assumption made here if not a couple of hundred dollars more by Q4 since the news is that ASP is inching slightly higher in Q2,at least for DELL.

IMO, DELL's new add campaign is helping them brand their direct business approach. They are pioneers in this area and now they want to let more decision makers know about it. Consider where they advertise on TV and in print. DELL has an outstanding agency and together they are very effective marketers.

I also see DELL ramping up its consumer marketing efforts. Especially on high traffic sites on the web (like Yahoo and Silicon Investor).

DELL's is running on all 8 cylinders (with a VERY EFFICIENT business model) and will continue to pull away from the competition.
