i wouldn't necessarily characterize their content as "premium", although they do have some proprietary stuff that may not be available elsewhere(i haven't been an aol member in about 4 1/2 years so i can't vouch for what all they have on there these days)...the main thing they have going for them is that their system is easy to use(assuming you can get past the busy signals<g>) and to some extent they create a sense of community with their chat rooms and all(but these are widely available on the web now)...basically they understand the consumer(as cramer pointed out in an article today) and they're sharp enough biz-men to cut some good deals from their content providers...and you can throw in some competitive pricing(i think they charge not much over $20 per month now) to the mix and well...in sum, imho it's their competitively priced easy-access more than proprietary or "premium" content that attracts them to their customers
