My objection is that Compaq has spent much energy establishing a great capacity to BUILD computers efficiently. But it has not successfully implemented programs to SELL them.

We keep hearing promises, but if they are changing, they are VERY SLOW.

A lot of the success in this business is due to the ability to turn on a dime. Dell can do this. Microsoft can also. Compaq can not.

I don't like ragging on compaq, cause I see their long term stradagy and agree with it. But they seem to be lazy and blind to reality when it comes to selling computers, IMO. And they have to change that.

From an investor's pov, I don't have to tell you that this has not been a good stock to own for the last 10 months or so, unless you're a day trader. I hope the next year will bring a positive change.
