(OTC BB: PWTC), a Las Vegas technology development company, has been notified by the Patent and Trademark Office of the United States Department of Commerce that its foreign filing license was granted as of June 12, 1998 for its "Electrochemical Battery Structure and Method" pursuant to its patent pending filing number 09/087,604. This protection will allow Power Technology, Inc. to negotiate with various manufacturers throughout the world to produce its battery without compromising its intellectual property. The Company's patent attorney noted that the filing was issued very quickly and has given the Company a green light to proceed with international negotiations. Power Technology, Inc. expects a significant portion of its sales to come from overseas purchases in non-petroleum producing countries seeking environmentally friendly alternatives to gas and diesel powered methods of transport. Power Technology's team of scientists is now perfecting the battery prototype in their Las Vegas laboratory. The Company's revolutionary electrode structure, which is made of a completely non-toxic alloy, increases the electrochemically active surface area within a battery up to 1,000 times. Power Technology is poised to capitalize on its invention that provides a practical solution to the Federal mandate which calls for considerably more zero emission vehicles to be in the marketplace than are on the highway today. This technology will allow production of a battery that is substantially lighter than a conventional lead-acid battery, has a quicker recharge rate, is cost-effective to manufacture, and is environmentally friendly. This proprietary technology can provide approximately twice the power of a similar weight lead-acid battery, and can be used wherever a conventional battery is used. The unique structure of the battery allows for the use of a non-toxic metal alloy and non-toxic, non-hazardous electrolyte.
