They teach grad school students that during each and every
trading moment all news, both known and anticipated, as
well as future expectations are priced into securities
prices. They espouse traditional valuation measures
such as earnings, earnings growth rates and book value.
They say that since all anticipated news is already in
a stock, securities prices are a random walk.
If this sector doesn't fully reflect all news at these
prices, it's time to strip some of these professors of
their Nobel awards.

Your Doggieness:

I heard this morning on a radio broadcast that a rig sunk somewhere off Grand Isle while in tow. Have you heard this?

Big Dog,

I managed to scrape together a little more money today, intending
to buy more RIG, but when FGII hit the 26's, I decided to split
my buy between the two. I've been reading your FGII posts for
months, waiting for an opportunity to jump in, and at 26 1/2, it
looks like a great bargain. The number one concern seems to be
whether or not they can find enough skilled people to continue their
rapid growth, and the price of oil is only the number two concern.
Owning FGII will give me something new to worry about. Anyway, just
thought you'd like to know that you've made another convert to FGII,
even if its only 300 shares. Long BDI, DO, ESV, FGII, FLC, UTI, VRC
and VERY LONG NE and RIG.
