GP,

I wouldn't mind Hackworth remaining on the B of D and not in the capacity of Chairman. But, I would like to see him relinquish the CEO role. I base this on a couple of items.

First, credibility. Both inside and outside the company. This company needs a leader that inspires and Mike has long since lost this trait. On the outside, namely the financial community, Cirrus has a very long road to go down. Mike can not be the driver of this bus. The financial community just will not go for it.

I too, feel Mike has is very adept in the area of strategic planning. He must have been the one to direct the company out of the pc based products and diversified into the dsp and mixed signal arena. Anyway lets hope that the hiring of an outsider will start the cascade of change.
