DLL I wish I could mediate, but I dont think I would be able to accomplish much. It is up to Emile to decide of he will return your gift of an outstretched hand. I dont think even that would accomplish much in the long run though. FWIW, I dont think Emile has any particular vendetta against Jews. I think he has an intense hatred(distrust?) for anything non-christian, or perhaps just anything that he is not. I say that based on the article that quotes him as saying that our kids should only be studying Western thoughts and ideas and should not be studying multi-culturalist ideas. It is unfortunate, because that kind of isolationist ideas tend to promote separatism and distrust and a lead to a greater degree of misunderstanding between peoples. An open and free exchange of ideas is the only way for people to learn to trust one another. From that free-flowing exchange of ideas, we can all grow and evolve. However, the rest is up to Emile, hopefully he can respond to you in an earnest manner, with a minimum of rhetoric. Mark
