ALL; Ex-Sports reporter James Poyner Jr. turned PC analyst for CIBC Oppenheimer is featured in SmartMoney magazine in July. The article, titled "Street Smart - A league of his own" includes this little ditty - ex-sports reporter Poyner is no longer bullish on DELL.The ex-sports reporter states that DELL is not moving where the revenue growth is - Services. He further states that although DELL is rapidly gaining market share in PC sales the margin on all those additional PC's is shrinking. Despite his lone star pride, he firmly believes the company will suffer badly from decreasing profitability in the Pc business.

To add balance to the article ex-sports reporter Poyner is very bullish on Western Digital, Compaq and IBM. Oh, and by the way, Poyner spotted Compaq's inventory problems as far back as last July. Funny, seems like every analyst you read today is claiming he or she was the first or only one to to sniff out that inventory problem.
