Something will give! Those turbines at power companies and "co-gen" plants will be operating flat out trying to match demand. Most "on-demand" systems I'm aware of, use natural gas fuel since there are no inventory costs and it burns cleaner.

The tough part is there will not be enough power to go around, and there probably will be more area wide failures of the electrical grid system.

In the mean time, a lot of natural gas will be consumed. Follow this with a La Nina winter, and annual consumption may be substantially higher.

Drill baby drill!!!

On secondary note........ power companies will rake it in this year.
