DBCO looks like it has some heavy buying coming into it at the close.

bid/ask size 878 x 10 which, I submit, is quite sizeable.

Might we be seeing a drop in price in both stocks in order to generate volume and then upward movement??

I think we all realize that sometimes it takes a decline in price for Mmkrs to generate interest which continues as the market perceives a bottom.

Edited Note: ECGOF buying coming with 100 sell ticks being provided as a courtesy from the Mmkrs. Average trade size 2,500 shares based on 149 trades total at 1551 EST.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Regards,

Ron

Ron,

If you look at Yahoo, you may notice a sizeable decrease for the current year's earnings estimate in the last week (go to Detailed Research). So Mr. McGinnis may have in fact met with analysts and given them some guidance. The earnings estimate decrease, coupled with the pounding of the oil sector, probably explains the price action.

I've taken a trading long position at 6 1/4. Hope I don't regret it.

Good luck to all,

David

The price action of this stock is a mystery to me also,,,,,,
it seemed under valued when I made my first purchase and only
waiting to be discovered.
That was a long time ago and the co. is still waiting for it,,,,
Everything is positive ,I'm truly baffled by this low P/E of
6.4,especially when you look at others in the industry,,,,,

The news on Dominion Bridge has to have an adverse effect on American Eco and its stock price.

Eco has a $5 million investment in DBCO at $2.60 per share. The stock is now worth $.75 a share. I anticipate about a $3.5 million write down sometime this fiscal year. That approximates this quarters expected income.

Also, since Eco and DBCO are doing a few significant joint ventures, something that may drastically effect DBCO will surely effect the progress of the joint ventures.

I think DBCO needs the money it was going to receive on the sale of this subsidiary. Without it they are hurting. And that does not take into consideration the unspecified contingent liabilities that made the prospective purchaser ITEQ back away from the deal.
