Sprint Store in downtown SF confirmed that they are not selling any Qs until the Fall. He defined the "Fall" as late August or September. I mentioned that I was a shareholder and he said "hold that stock" we like the qualcomm phones and we expect to sell a lot of Qs when they make their re-appearance.

Q Phone Story.I purchased two Q Phones some of the very first to roll off the line and delivered to a Sprint Store near San Diego in December 1997.The phones both showed cracking and chipping in the exact same places on the back of the phone at the lower border on each side close to the corners where there exist two tab inserts connecting the lower body of the phone. There were no other areas where the cracking and chipping of the plastic occured. The phones functioned with grace and precision other wise.I returned them both eventually and was given an exchange without question or hassle by Sprint PCS.The replacement phones came packaged the same way only the box had a red dot placed on it indicating this was the new plastic that won't crack and chip. The new phones seem to be holding up without problems.Apparently the plastic utilized by the vendor to QUALCOMM used a thin a grade or a weakened plastic.QUALCOMM and Sprint are on top of this and its been going on for awhile.I really enjoy the Q phone and I intend on keeping this model. The size and function, clarity are unbeatable.QUALCOMM will complete there rise to greatness by expirencing the inevitable bumps in the road when you begin a tiny company having never manufactured a phone before and reaching that status in light speed.
