John:

To get everybody's attention Bill Griffeth could ask what people would do if their air conditioners stopped during this heatwave... He could then segue into the Y2k utilities issue...

John,

<On a business TV show up till now there has not been any discussion on Y2k/embedded at utilities, as far as I know....>

You're pretty much right here. Not only about utilities, but embedded systems in general.

I happened to sit next to one of 3 BBC (British Broadcasting Corp) U.S. producers (TV/radio) on my 3 hr flight from D.C. to Houston. Generally I don't talk to "seat mates" on flights. She and I talked the entire flight. Much of our discussion was regarding Y2K embedded systems problems. Ends up U.S. & international media in D.C. ... are concentrated pretty much in a one-block area.

"I've been wanting to do a story on this." "Send me information." "Let's keep in touch."

It will still take a while. Things don't happen over night. But eventually the message regarding embedded systems WILL get out. It has to. There are too many problems out there that so many businesses and government entities are still unaware of.

FYI - I don't push or promote TAVA when I talk to people in the "business". Depending on who I'm talking to and length of our conversations ... TAVA may or may not come up. But if it does comes up, it's because TAVA is the ONLY company in the USA with a proprietary, commercial database which can be acquired with or without using TAVA's full engineering capabilities.

I haven't yet seen or heard of any other company that offers something similar. If someone has ... tell us already. I have been encouraging competition since last summer. Sure, I want TAVA's stock price to appreciate cause I'm an investor. But I have concerns far beyond TAVA. This is an extremely serious issue. Unfortunately few have the inclination, time or intelligence to understand the issues.
