'Byte Magazine (July, 1998) has as its cover story:
"Year 2000 Survival Guide." It was written by
their senior technical editor, Edmund X. DeJesus.

It's a comprehensive, lengthy, and well-written
article aimed at the IT professional. It takes a
rationally-alarmist stance as it covers the scope
of Y2K problems and their basic solutions, along
with a section on contingency planning. I liked
the opening paragraph:

"The ship is your company. The iceberg is January
1, 2000 -- Black Saturday. The good news is that
you can see it coming. The bad news is that you're
heading right for it. The worse news is that you
can't turn in time. Now what?"
