Its seems the market hasn't paid too much attention to the GM strike

I think this may be the one of many triggers for a slowing domestic economy that Kaufman speaks of. I also can relate to how such a fierce competitive marketplace can drive up commodity prices such as in our labor markets or a run on air conditioners or even butter. I see OPEC trying to raise oil prices. The fed may be forced to raise rates in the short term

Another sign of an "event" is the incredible run up of some of these internet stocks. Some of whom haven't turned a profit yet
