In the short run investing is little more than gambling. One can hardly control what management or large share holders might do but investors can stay away from obvious stinkers, such as that one company which claims to have mineral deposits worth hundreds of millions and then gives 36% of it's equity to a defunct river boat gaming operation in a reverse merger--which by the way, they never did own a river boat--........now what was that company called again........MTEI

p.s. don't worry, I only have a small fraction of my portfolio in KANA and it happens to be my only dog. Live and learn:)
