Thread,
Thanks Michael and Stitch. Very funny answers! :)

Nevin, You could be correct about the Tankan index. If it's released Sunday night at 7:50PM ET, then that has to be it. I'm only sure of one thing. It will be released Sunday night, very close 7:50PM ET. I know this because Ron went on to say, "As we all know Sunday night in New York is Monday morning in Tokyo." This is about the only thing I'm certain of.

Wonder why this Tankan index (measuring "sentiment?") would be such a big deal to the currency markets? I serious doubt our University of Michigan (Go Wolverines!) Consumer Sentiment figures would move our currency markets? Oh well, I guess we will just have to wait for Sunday night to find out.

It's strange that the NAPM to be released Wednesday is going to be around "50." But maybe Ron lead into that story after the Japan lecture, while I was huffing and puffing for air and I missed the lead-in to the US NAPM story. That's what it's beginning to appear like.

Thanks for everyone's help,
MikeM(From Florida)
