Schop,

I presume the difference between the two to be the tacit approval of the press release by Texaco as well. On the contrary, I confer greater credibility to Rentech's rare but carefully crafted statements about the timing of the future agreement.

>>I find it curious that know one yet has commented that the press release was basically the same thing that was written in the annual report <<

I made just that comment.

I don't think it is fair to call it an empty statement, Schop. I think it is an honest statement and as much as RNTK can say.

It could have been far worse. They could have said "due to circumstances beyond our control our negotiations with Texaco have been terminated." Then we would really have something to complain about.

Hi Schopenhauer,

Regarding the press release: I concur with Bradpalm and Andrew. IMO & others, Texaco approved the release and did so out of "kindness" to RNTK's management before they had to appear at the stockholders meeting.

I think the consensus both here and on Yahoo is that there is a deal, there are no major sticking points, and is of a nature that requires meticulous contractual/legal/accounting involvement to complete. It is not 2 weeks away, but is also probably not 3 months away.

My plan for the summer is to place at GTC at 1 5/8, check the price and newswires once or twice a day and come back to congratulate everyone when the deal is announced !

Regards,
Chris
