I kind of have a different approach to wanting a split with THQ. I think it is extremely important for a company to have enough of a buffer during either market corrections or what happened after the WCW announcement to split the stock at a high enough price that the stock stays over $20. I've seen too many companies announce splits way too low and have seen their stocks spiral down when institutions decide the price has gone too low (IOM,EQNX, BTIM comes to mind). There is no reason to rush to split a stock just to get people excited. All that dies down over time and the fundamentals/earnings are what really matter. I care more about return than how many shares I can say I own. I see too many companies that split at the wrong time and I'd rather have it done right or not at all.
