I have never ever said I knew AMD/Cyrix numbers in detail. I know it is hard to buy the AMD new chip due to demand exceeding supply, and surmise they are selling everyone they can make. they have the ability to make 4M/quarter with good yields on all their lines(more or less) and when IBM comes online later this summer(Time vague?)
I suspect that AMD might make a total of 3-4M, perhaps more if and when IBM comes online ? For the fall season with IBM online their numbers could well double, depending on the resources IBM will commit and the time it takes IBM to run at high yields.

Any idea when IBM will be able to make the AMD parts in damascene?

Bill

Dr. Engel:

<<By the way, Intel will ship between 19.5 million and 21 million x86 CPUs this quarter - over half will be Pentium II or Celeron or Pentium Pro.>>

What about the other half? Pentium MMX and 486?
