You are absolutely right. Intel wasn't going to promote the sub $1k PCs, but they definitely won't give up significant market share unless it's not profitable. They've found away to make a buck in that market, and by the end of this year, they will definitely hit that $120 mark you talk about. Anyone who thinks Intel is done for, doesn't 'get it'. By the year 2000, when 3D and speech is more prevalent, Intel will be trading 3x today's price. Intel owns the market period. AMD and Cyrix/NSM have yet to execute. Intel sets pricing. Intel will 'fill the fabs'. If you're trading short term, you're in the wrong stock. If you're trading long term, it's a sure winner. Save my post.
