if they file chapter , then the employees continue working under same management.
its the stockholders that lose as well as the lenders.
so as i see it, everyone from lenders to vendors to boston chicken lose in a filing..
the only smart response?
sell the real estate
sell the bagel operation
get a control over expenses
buy out the franchisers to make the banks happy so that the banks will extend their loans.
it all depends on the banks,
why should they be nasty?
its easier for them to just give bost the small loan, let bost use the revolver loans, then get paid extra for allowing bost to proceed,
i also noticed they wanted to convert bonds to stock..
maybe they will make the conversion at , say three bucks a share on the convertible loans with out a call redemtion feature based on assets
