Truman and All: Foster Friess, manager of the Brandywine Fund, who raised his cash level to 78% at the end of last year, admitted he was wrong to do so. Bloomberg is running the story. His cash level is in the low single digits now. His fund has returned 2.2% this year compared to the S & P of 16.2%. Freiss said he hoped to avoid a market crash caused by Asia's economic troubles. Instead he missed a quick recovery and a run-up in stocks earlier this year. As of today the Brandywine Fund ranks 877th of 931 ''growth'' stock funds tracked by Bloomberg Fund Performance. Brinker made a nice call to dump this fund before the market took off.

I gave it a try Truman, but it doesn't appear to be compatible with a Mac. --Alan
