Zenith was caught up in the IDID / IOM craze of the summer of 1996.

I bought ZE at about $19 and $22 and sold the $19 at $23 I believe and the $22 at $17, I lost money on the whole ZE deal.

Zenith was an old and slow moving company that sold a commodity product with a falling price tag. Regardless of their cable modem dreams with Microsoft or U.S. Robotics, they couldn't transform themselves quick enough.
