Bill,
Well if your Barron's says the opposite then we know you are right!<VBG>
Your scenario sounds right.I hope that is not because I already believed it would hit later in July or Aug.July of 1996 I really got hurt with the small caps because I refused to believe what was right before my eyes. And in some cases was too close to overly optimistic management to go to cash.I was too much a speculator myself and even digging a deeper hole buying both stocks and calls.Back then we had a lot of companies losing money trading at 100-300 PE's....that was the speculative bubble. Now we have the internet stocks along with some techs again reaching all time highs. Even on the Naz the a/d is not too pretty. This week MIGHT prove to be that failed rally I mentioned, then a little pullback...I did not go into puts, thank goodness. I watched, for example, the oex 540's at 4 when the oex was at 558...didn't get filled but could have gotten a pt and a half...not worth what I saw with the time premiums being stripped..with the oex lower they are now under 4...no thanks. So I am patiently waiting.
Maybe it's that weather you forecasted, but I am feeling you are right in my gut AND my bones!<GGG>
Send me that chart you were looking at that gave you such a signal when you get a chance...please.
Regards,
Barbara

> recovery to the 9,000 level by July 17th

that's a fairly long period of time. small stocks
could go far in such a recovery.

so the rally you were calling for earlier is over?
that's it?

can I see your current charts?
